Track Carolina Storms On Your Phone
Do you like to check the forecast as soon as you get up in the morning or right before you go to bed? Well, that’s the way my day usually works too, but I typically don’t spend the entire day in front of the radar. But thanks to your cell phone, blackberry or PDA no matter where you are, you can check radar.
July has been a pretty busy storm season for North Carolina; in fact, for July at Raleigh-Durham International Airport we have a two inch surplus. So, while my grass is still dead, we have done very well in the rain department during a month that is usually the hottest for the Triangle.
If you would like to keep track of some of these storm on the local or state radar while on the go during the work-week or the 7 day forecast while out and about on the weekend, just cut and paste the links below into an e-mail. Send that e-mail to your internet enabled phone, load it up and you are ready to go.

I know many of you can already get to some kind of radar on your phone, but this link takes you right to the latest radar image from NBC17, works very well on cell phones and is easy to read. Likewise, many of you can find forecasts from someone on your phone…but this is our seven day forecast updated throughout the day by real people and not computers.
