They really do have a great selection of both food and plants. Sadly, a large number of the vendors are not actually local vendors, so if you’re shooting for that, pay careful attention. They might grow their own strawberries, for instance, but buy tomatoes and peppers from Peru and sell it all as local farmers. Just be aware.

Regardless, I ALWAYS have fun when we go to the Farmers Market getting great fresh food, and I ALWAYS stock up big on local honey! Blackberry and Water Tupelo are my favs, while Marc prefers Sourwood (not sour at all).

We also buy Marc’s Mom plants there for Mother’s Day. Beautiful flowering plants and trees… check it out! I cannot believe you JUST went for the first time! So glad you made it there finally!

I like Las Margaritas, but I LOVE Dos Taquitos on Creedmoor Rd in Raleigh!!! It is UNBELIEVABLE!! In an cruddy looking shopping center, but Dos Taquitos itself is SO FULL of ambiance ~ inside and out ~ and has the BEST most authentic Mexican food EVER!

Hey Corinne! Thanks for suggestions! I have heard great things about Skylines as well! I will definitely try to make it back down to Clayton to try it out, but if not, I would love for you to take some pictures and write a paragraph or two of your experience there! Let me know!

Hey,

I love going to Skylines on 70. Food is great, price is really reasonable and I love their patio (well at least I do in the warmer months). The owner Tina is great. She is always there and makes us feel like we are at home! Love it!

I’ve heard that they have a great selection of plants, pots etc. also, a great place to get a christmas tree. Wake Forest has a farmers market every Saturday morning. It’s not as big but great quality items.

Hi there,
I know you love Italian food, but you should explore some Cuban food in Cary. THe Havana Grill is absolutely wonderful and if you have an open mind you will try and you will really enjoy it.. We are from Miami Florida and my husband is Cuban and no we don’t eat tortillas so we just love this place. Let me know if you go and tell me what you think of it. Try the skirt steak or the breaded milanesa chicken breast and a flan for dessert. I will look forward to your email…

Richard- I went there again last night and had the angel special which was amazing, my family also enjoyed everything they had as well! The Pasta Fagioli was the best I’ve ever had…tell the Gibitosi’s I say hi..and let me know what you think!
