NBC17 Today

Welcome to Tazewell Today!  Since I anchor NBC17 TODAY, it seemed fitting to call my blog Tazewell TODAY.  In my blog, little by little you’ll start learning more about who Sharon Tazewell is (I’m wearing the blue shirt), plus I’ll give you tid-bits into the lives of my co-anchors Donald Jones, Bill Reh and Tica Lema.

When you’re dealing with LIVE TV anything can happen.  We could lose audio, video or a can of hair spray can explode with no notice.  So, what do we do when these things happen?  We deal with it the best we can and move on.  As the saying goes, “The show must go on!”  I thought it would be funny to share some of those “interesting” moments with you.

Occasionally you’ll get a glimpse into the life of Sharon Tazewell.  I’m a citizen of four countries so occasionally you may get some island flare (born on the beautiful island of Antigua…mother is from Trinidad)…or I may say some words that only a Canadian may understand (attended High School there).  However, I am also a citizen of the USA, but have lived in so many states who knows which dialect may slip out.  Trust me, it can make for an interesting newscast.

I also have a passion for theatre, so expect some theatre drama here and there.  Feel free to comment and let us know about theatre happenings!  Welcome to my TV world!  Enjoy!

Always,

Sharon
