Tape Will Fix It

Taping Leg  I glanced at the clock in the dressing room this morning….5:45…perfect I still had time to finish my hair and get out on set by 5:50 so Scotty could set my camera shots before 6:00 showtime.  I was in deep conversation with Yvette Yeon (friend and TODAY show reporter) when I realized I didn’t have anthing to hook my wireless IFB and Mic boxes to!  Uh-oh!  I usually hook it onto the back of my skirt or pants, but today I was wearing a dress.  Since we stand for the majority of the show it had to hook somewhere!

I ran into the studio, as fast as I could run with heels on, and grabbed duct tape and started wrapping it around my leg.  Ouch!  OK, that hurt a little, but I was desperate.  My co-anchor Donald was quick to grab his camera and snap a picture in my frantic moment.  Floor director Erica yelled, “30 seconds!”  Oh no!  The boxes were still unattached!  Yvette came to the rescue and secured them.  Just another glimpse of “BEHIND THE SCENES.”  Thanks Yvette for coming to the rescue.

My pleasure. We help each other out when need be. Thank goodness for duck tape!

You jumped right in there to help out! Woo-hoo! Go Team!

What a candid moment! Now me being a typical man, I would think its a garter!
