NO, I WASN’T PICKING MY NOSE!
OK, let’s set the story straight. I was NOT picking my nose on LIVE TV. During the morning show, Bill’s camera (which is robotic) mysteriously panned over to the news desk. Obviously, Donald and I were not expecting this to happen so naturally we were caught off guard. I was caught SCRATCHING my nose (NOT picking) and Donald was standing up and turned around with a deer in headlights look. Bill, determined to stay on camera chased it when it started to pan (move). If you ever watch NBC’s Emmy Award winning show The Office, you’ll understand why I like to refer to our unscripted moment as one of the moments you’d see on that show.
You have to watch in several times to capture all of our looks. Even our reporter Yvette Yeon, seen sitting behind us in the newsroom, did a sudden head turn. It’s hilarious! Again, LIVE TV….all you can do is make the best of a situation.
