Soup for me…

thumb.jpgWell, I’m feeling much better and my voice is almost 100%.  What I  thought was just an annoying cold turned out to be a nice case of Bronchitis.  Even though I was hacking up a lung, that shouldn’t have kept me from writing another post on my blog… but you know how you feel sometimes.  I read your new posts and that was about it.  Which means… I’m mostly grumpy because the bike didn’t move.  Anyway, while I read your blogs, I ate my soup.  soup.jpgYes, good for my soul, soothing on the throat… all that good stuff.  But what I was left wondering is what part of the chicken does the “chicken” in (condensed) Chicken Noodle Soup come from?  It doesn’t look quite right for some reason.  It might be because it sat in the can between all those noodles for some amount of time.  I just don’t know.  Maybe… I should just keep it that way.  Maybe… I don’t really want to know.  Any thoughts?
At least I’m on the mend and hopefully I’ll be back on the bike again soon!

I think it all depends on what brand of Chicken Noodle Soup your eating…your soup in the picture doesn’t look all that appetizing so theres no telling what kind of chicken is in it! :) I had Chicken Noodle Soup for dinner last night..it was really good! Progresso, you don’t have to add water, lots of veggies and the chicken looks pretty normal! Glad to hear your feeling better!!

Glad to hear your feeling better…this nasty “crud” is going around. Glad to hear you rested…this is one of the hardest lessons to learn…give your body the time to feel better! Then, do all the cycling you want :)

Glad you are feeling better.

The chicken question is one probably better left unanswered.

My Chinese in-laws see chicken FEET as a true delicacy. Soup seems a safer chicken bet.

One way to avoid flu - I have given up shaking hands (I just say I am sick as an excuse)

I think we should all get hand sanitizer for Christmas. I’m glad you are feeling better, Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Hope you have fully recovered, both from the sickness and the soup! It’s time for base training and making all those resolutions for the new cycling season.

My former assistant used to keep a big bottle of hand sanitizer on her desk. We thought she was a little obsessive-compulsive and then she gave me a little bottle to use and the stuff really works. Apparently this is how cold bugs get transferred most commonly so you can stop them in their tracks pretty quickly. Who’d a thunk it?

Chicken Soup is kinda like Chicken Nuggets…you just don’t ask! No, I like the Progresso and Heathly choice soups….but, you have to watch the sodium.

I’m fighting a cold now…tried to run last night (I got that cool Ipod/Nike run thing for Christmas…can’t wait to use it!), but my just didn’t feel like it…so I mastered the art of walking…so maybe a good run this weekend after a good night’s rest!

I love your blog!!

Chris, csmith & Sprocketboy …
Thanks! I’m ready to sport those new jerseys I got from Santa. I think I will make 2008 “year of the sanitizer” for me. Two days after feeling better from the bronchitis… I got a 24 hour puke thing (too
much info).
No fun reading two hours of news by myself and puking during the commercial break. :) MUCH better now!

Jennifer…
Glad you got the cool running ipod thing for Christmas. I’ll be checking in on your progress.

Will… no chicken feet for me… Thanks and I’m sending a virtual handshake. :)
Cheers,
Donald
