Raleigh has had this event on several occasions but sadly I have been unable to make it to any of them. I am from neighboring Durham County and was wondering what could be done to bring such an event to our town? I'm sure there would be a large turnout for such an event and is there any information I can obtain to find out how to have one in our town?

A recent internal email from the US Department of Labor's Office of Investigator General states "The problem I am having with most of the shredding companies who work on-site, they have pierce and tear technology (i.e. Shred-it) which is not good for shredding highly sensitive material. Pierce and tear shredders do not adequately get the document into an "unreadable state".

If you'd like, I can fax a copy of the email for you to verify. People participating in most shred events are being mislead.

Has anyone from the news media ever looked in the back of one of these trucks? That's where the real story is.
