Lose Your Keys?

It’s probably happened to everybody….”where did I put my keys?”   Well it happened to me this morning.  keys.gif

I usually leave my keys in a drawer in the kitchen.  Well at 3am this morning (yawn), I was ready to get to work when I opened the drawer….and….NO KEYS!

Well after searching the kitchen and den, I went outside to the car I was driving yesterday thinking I might have left them in there…..once again, no keys.

So now it was time to wake up my wife, because I was now sure that she must have put them somewhere.  I am sure this now sounds like typical ‘husband’ talk.  She awoke just enough to let me know that she didn’t see them yesterday.   I just spent about 15 minutes looking and…still no keys.

My keys have the pass key to get into our television station so I really needed them.  I finally grabbed a spare car key and my phone so I could call work and let them know they would need to let me in.  I was running late, however, on the way out to the garage, I remembered that when I got home yesterday I checked the oil in my car.  Mmmm, oh why not, they had to be somewhere right?  So I opened the hood, and voila, my keys where sitting on top of my car battery!  I don’t even want to think what would have happened if I drove from Durham to Raleigh with a full set of keys rumbling in my engine. car-engine.jpg

I am just grateful that I finally found them and thankful that my wife didn’t get mad about me waking her up.

And you had your pass for work :) Yeah!

Taking care of a baby will make you misplace things too!

Ha, ha…I will remember that this fall.
