Cooking with the Barn at home.

When my family wants to eat somewhere special the first place that comes to mind is the Angus Barn.angus-barn.jpg

The Angus Barn is a wonderful restaurant where they know how to make you feel special.  Owner Van Eure will see to that.

Well, when deciding what to cook for dinner yesterday, the thought of baby back ribs came to mind.  When we cook baby back ribs at home we do them like the Angus Barn.  After par-boiling the ribs in salted water for 3 hours, we then transfer them to a charcoal,onetouchsilver_hero.jpg NOT GAS, grill.

We then grill them by basting them with homemade Angus Barn barb-b-que sauce.  Yes, what I have learned is if you ask, a restaurant might just give you their recipe.  Now the recipe for their sauce was in the gallons range; but I used my math skills and broke it down to quart size.  My sauce tastes just about the way it does at the Angus Barn.  By the way they put a little honey on their ribs right before pulling to add a little sweetness.

To compliment our ribs, we had spinach salad; with you guessed it, homemade Angus Barn Spinach salad dressing.  I have got that recipe too.  Honey is also added to that dressing.

The one thing I can’t duplicate at home is the service you receive at the restaurant and a way to make all the dishes clean themselves!  Oh well.
