A Mellow Drought Break

Just got back from a few days of spring break at the beach.  Yes, the weather was wet and not very nice.  We did have a bit of sun on Friday at Wrightsville Beach when I snapped this picture. imga0227.jpg

Our coast is NOT in a drought so even though the weather was not very “beachy”, it was nice to be in an area where  there was ample water.  As a matter of fact I have been living by the motto…”if it’s yellow let it mellow.”  Well after using the bathroom at the beach, I hesitated then realized I could flush.  It was hard to get into the mellow habit at first but then it seemed weird not to be in that mode when I was at the beach.  Even though we have had a lot of rain and our lake levels are back to normal, the Triangle is still in a drought so now that I have returned home, it’s back to being mellow again.
