Tourney Food
When I first moved here I lived in Chapel Hill and would often go to Chapel Hill to watch the Tar Heels play in the NCAA. My main food choice was the liquid kind. Now that I am older, I enjoy the food more and the drinks less. You can’t beat homemade (not microwave) popcorn when watching the game with friends and family at home. Also if you are cooking, chicken wings are great. We make wings by grilling them on a charcoal grill then basting them in the butter/hot sauce. This is so much more tastier than frying them the traditional way. When we are out, the appetizers are always a hit during a game, we usually split nachos, spinich dip and some form of onion straws or rings.
By the way I filled out my bracket, but this year decided to sit on the sidelines and not play in a pool. For what it’s worth my final four are UNC, UCLA, Kansas, and Texas.
The farther UNC goes, the more I’ll be eating tourney food. I guess the farther they go, the more I will need the pool money that I saved to pay for the food. However, if UNC does go all the way, I might kick myself for not entering the pool because I have them winning it all!

Yummy… the wings sound great. What time should Jan and the kids and I come over?
