Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Are YOU Going to See it?
I have to ask because I’m not entirely sure that I even want to and I’ll tell you why.
I am a child of the 70’s and 80’s. I remember seeing the original Star Wars at the movie theater at the age of 7, believe it or not, and I have been following the entire live-action series since it’s inception so the idea of seeing the story being told in animation is really hard for me to comprehend. But, then I read Hollywood.com’s interview with George Lucas, the man behind the creation of all things Star Wars and it got me thinking.
The article points out the 7 reasons why Lucas recommends seeing the film. I won’t go into every reason but two of them stood out for me - (1) the fact that it’s the untold story of the actual Clone Wars between Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and (2) the fact that some familar voices will be heard throughout the dialogue of the film. Reason #2 just might be what seals the deal for me to go see it…that and the animation itself which if you look at some still of the still shots (that I can’t show here), you see that it’s quite advanced from the animation of old.
The film is a lead in to the TV series also created by Lucas. Not sure I care to see that either. One step at time, I say. Still, this film-goer just might have to see what all the “fuss” is about.
Anyone else interested? Maybe I’ll see YOU at the movies!
