The film version of the popular TV series, Get Smart, took over the #1 spot from the remake of The Incredible Hulk, which surprisingly is neck and neck with the Jack Black/Angelina Jolie animated film, Kung Fu Panda while the latest Mike Myers romp, The Love Guru, did’t quite make the splash that all the hype hoped it would.
Is it just me or do you also see the summer not quite shaping up to a blockbuster season? Personally, I still have yet to see Sex In The City and I do have an interest in seeing Get Smart as well. Outside of that, I’m hoping there are more films coming down the pipeline that will peak my interest or it might be a dry summer at the box office for me.
What do you think? Are there any movies you are DYING to see or anticipate the release of anyway? Post your thoughts below. I’d love to hear your take!
Until next time, see YOU at the movies!

Oh you just reminded me of THE DARK KNIGHT! Upon writing this post, I had forgotten that movie is expected to be released this summer. I so definitely want to see that one…for sure!
I’m a bit interested in Hancock as well but I think I might research that one a little. Not sure I understand the premise behind it, or is it more importantly that I’m not sure I have an interest in the premise behind it? Hmmm….something to think about.

Well, I saw The Incredible Hulk on Friday. I’m not a huge movies-based-on-comics fan, but I remember watching the Hulk on TV when I was little and I don’t think Edward Norton is capable of a bad movie. The action kept the movie going and while it had a LOT of CGI, it wasn’t too distracting.
I’m off to see Sex and the City this Thursday with my mother…yes, my 55 year old mother LOVES S&TC and has to go with me b/c all of her friends think its too “raunchy.”
Let’s see: LOVE Steve Carrell so will prolly go see Get Smart; had wanted to see The Happening, although its being panned by critics and audiences; my interest has been piqued by Hancock and Wanted and although I have no need to see either on the big screen, will probably be dragged to it by the sig other; Wall-E, like all Pixar movies, is almost guaranteed to be cute and wonderful; but what I really want to see is: THE DARK KNIGHT ah…Christian Bale…mmmm…AND sadly, Heath Ledger
