Run like you stole something!
I did it.
I can now check off “Run Marathon” on my life list. I ran a marathon. This was the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life up to this point. My time was off my goal….but man…..I’m glad I finished when I did.
Here is a recap of my Marathon Weekend in […]
What’s your price for music?
I’m going to link to an article that I found on Mashable.com this morning about Radiohead’s experiment. Asking folks to purchase their latest album for what the consumer felt like they should pay for it. Interesting concept, heh? Well, according to Stan Schroeder’s article, this experiment worked….they actually sold more of this album than their last […]
Shine on…Shine on
One of the best albums out is Estelle’s Shine…..I LOVE it! I first saw the video for American Boy in the gym one morning….so every morning I was excited for the countdown since I knew that song would come on. Another coworker, Dominque also wrote a blog on Estelle….check her’s out.
Last weekend I was out […]
Then and Now
Remember when MTV actually played videos? Remember 120 Minutes? The show I had to record (VHS) on Saturday night since it came on too late? (and yes, I hyperlinked VHS) Remember the best game show ever…Remote Control….
I think it all hit the fan for me over the weekend….In my opinion….MTV is awful.
I try to keep up […]
Here comes your man!
My husband is a huge Pixies fan.
For those of you who are familiar with The Pixies….a small band out of Massachusetts that went on to create music history. Even my favorities….Bono (U2) and David Bowie consider The Pixies one of the most influential bands in music history! Within a year of Mike and I dating, […]
BEIJING WELCOMES YOU
Friday was the opening ceremonies for the Beijing Olympics. Unfortunately, I was unable to see the opening ceremonies because fortunately, I was vacationing at the Beach!! (this was the first time my husband and I have been to the beach together since our wedding last year!)
But since we are so technologically advanced….I watched the opening ceremonies online!!!
China is […]
Makes me wonder if this December will be long?
Last night, Mike and I were able to attend the Maroon 5 and Counting Crows concert at Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion.
We are noticing how we are “getting older” in relation to music. Most folks were there to see Maroon 5 not Counting Crows. The Counting Crows have a history of opening for bands, not headlining. This […]
Barnraisers
This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to spend a weekend (at the beach!) with some of my best college ( Go CATS!) friends (and former roommates). Jami, Tiffany and I have known each other for a long time. (Jami and I went to junior high and high school together so we have known each […]
Are you 80s or 90s?
As much as I want to think I’m an 80s child….since I LOVE 80s music and would listen to it most of the day if I could…..I am a 90s girl. I was born late 70s….so I was realtively young in the 80s…so my prime music days were 90s (high school and college)….and the most […]
Even in 100 degree heat and a Pinstriped Suit -
The R.E.M. concert was great! I felt like I was back in high school dancing and singing to some of my favorite songs. It was a little toasty for me since yesterday’s high was around 100….but even in this heat, Michael Stipe still rocked out while wearing a Pinstriped Suit!
Apparantly, several other of my NBC […]
