Standing in the Cold

I just recently spent an hour standing in the VERY cold temps to help break ground on the Smithfield Recreation & Aquatics Center scheduled to open in 2009.  Considering the community of Smithfield and Johnston County Schools have been working on this project since November 2001, I guess I can endure some discomfort for one hour.

     One of the top 25 things to do in North Carolina after the Thanksgiving feast, is the Midnight Madness Shopping Event at Carolina Premium Outlets in Smithfield.  The NC Division of Tourism has partnered with the Johnston County Visitors Bureau and the outlet center to sweeten the shopping experience,

One of the reasons I am so excited to write this blog is to get more information out in the Triangle region on the things to do in Johnston County.  As the official marketing organization for Johnston County, when I hear people say at local events, “they should advertise this event, it is wonderful”.
