Free Programs Help Celebrate Earth Day

The North Carolina Botanical Garden will hold two free programs to celebrate Earth Day.

On Saturday, April 26, at 10 a.m., a “Growing Green Earth Day Tour” will take place on the grounds and trails of the Botanical Garden. Garden Director Peter White will conduct the tour.

On Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m., people can take part in a free lecture with retired assistant director Ken Moore about the passions that inspire people to garden. The “Why We Garden-A Conservation with Ken Moore” lecture includes a catered reception in the Carolina Inn’s Hill Ballroom.

Although registration is not required, it is advisable to call 919-962-0522 ahead of time to reserve a place.
