Battle of the Bands

North Carolina Teen Battle of the Bands will be held at Wake Forest Festival Park, www.FestivalPark.org.

and more now posted to Herbfest being held at Festival Park, April 18-27 in Wake Forest, N. C.

Festival Park will provide storage facilities and The Cotton Company will sell & distribute unique original soapstone art from Kistone Group and the Zachary Taylor Orphanage in Kisii, Kenya to help support vocational training and development of entrepreneurial spirit with the children.

The Graham Johnson Cultural Arts Endowment ( GJCAE) is lending support to help with the internet marketing of these original art works to support the orphans as they become of age and must leave the orphanage. 10% of gross proceeds will be given back to develop job skills such as electrician, welding, art training.

Kerry Hall, a newcomer to the Triangle, began reporting for NBC17 in June 2007.  Before moving to Raleigh, Kerry got a taste of reporting everything from agriculture to presidential politics while covering the news for stations in eastern and western

Iowa.  She is excited to explore the beautiful state of North Carolina after spending many years in the

Midwest. Kerry grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated from

Indiana University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Theatre. She says she loves getting up in front of a crowd and is honored to be working with Battle of the Bands and

Festival Park.
