Because we are used to seeing things a certain way—-the brain automatically assumes things are ALWAYS that way….

Despite the fact the image of the face is inverted—the brain “wants” to see it in 3-D…

DRAGON YOUR FEAT….

This illusion works the same way, with regard to your brain “wanting” things to be the way it is used to seeing them…

But, fooling the brain can only go so far, as you’ll see at the end of this video….

Seems your eyes lie….

Like the Eagles said in their classic song, “Honey, you can’t hide your lyin’ eyes..”

FACING NATURE..

Below is what looks like a nice nature scene—or is it?

What do you see?

Most folks see birds nesting in a tree..

…Do you also see a woman’s face with her hair hanging down the side?

MODELING IS A DOG EAT DOG WORLD……..

The central European country of Slovakia is known most recently as one of a number of countries that re-emerged after the break-up of the Soviet Union…

Now, Slovakia is trying to become famous as the place where you can take your dog to learn how to be a model.

As you can see here—a lot of people think their dog has what it takes to become the next super-model fur-sure…

RING OF CONFUSION…..

It looks like a simple bell.

Perhaps, even an antique bell…

But this bell is REALLY, REALLY antique—if its origins are indeed true.

In 1944 a West Virginia man was breaking up some coal—and when he smashed apart one lump—the bell emerged from inside.

Now, it takes millions of years for coal to form.. And if the bell was inside that coal, it would have to have been left on earth well before humans ever came on the scene…

The bell was analyzed at the University of Oklahoma, which supposedly found:

…it contained an unusual mixture of metals, different from any modern usage…

The bell is classified by some archaeologists as an OOPART, which stands for Out Of Place ARTifact.

There’s an old joke that ends with the punchline, “who are you going to believe—-ME, or you’re lying eyes?“…

And in these days of digital manipulation, and Internet spread hoaxes—it’s getting harder and harder to tell what’s real, and what’s fake…

So, as we roll into the weekend, I thought I’d give you a little mind-candy… A collection of images and videos that MAY or MAY NOT be fake…

I offer no conclusions. You be the judge.

WHAT IS SITTING ON MARS???

Is this a picture of a creature on Mars? Or perhaps a statue left over from a past civilization? Or is it just a trick of light and shadow?

This photo was taken in 2004 by the Mars rover Spirit—and is actually in the upper left portion of a much larger panorama.

It was only discovered recently by some astronomy enthusiasts who were combing over the thousands of pictures NASA received during the probes 3-month mission..

SOCCER IT TO ‘EM….

This is supposed to be supermarket surveillance video of a produce aisle in a supermarket. The customer is caught on tape taking a melon—and using it as a soccer ball before neatly ”heading” it into the shopping cart.

Did it really happen—or was it faked?

LISTEN TO THE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT…

The images in this video go by quickly—at the very end of this short clip—so I’ve take two freeze frames, and tried to enhance them to give you a better look at whatever it is…

Shot with a night-vision lens—this video takes place in Catalonia, Spain where a couple of locals went looking for a creature seen flying about the area… Before they come across it—they supposedly find several strange feathers on the ground…

They surprise whatever it is—and both they and the creature get spooked.

The locals call it a fallen angel….What are you calling it? Real or fake?

GENERATING A NEW REALITY…

OK… Now that you’ve had a chance to look at those items—let me close with this video.

EVERYTHING you see in this has been faked…It’s all computer generated, manipulated images.

The creators show you the original—and then show you the end result.

So now that you see how easy it is to fake ANY image—still or moving—can you ever trust your lying eyes again?
