Our post yesterday on the Vatican’s astronomer who says its OK to believe in Space Aliens brought us double the normal readership for this little blog.

It also brought us one somewhat cryptic comment.

After following the writer’s advice, I’m taking the unusual step of doing a follow-up to yesterday’s post that may end up having me veer off into space…

It didn’t take but one Google search using the Monsignor’s name to indeed come up with reams of articles, and video of him.

It seems that Monsignor Balducci is a regular fixture on Italian TV where he spouts his E.T. views…

The now retired priest has occupied some very high and important positions in the Vatican—and as you can read here, says extraterrestrial contact is very real.

As Hammers4567, suggested, there is a LOT of material about his pronouncements out there—including a number of video clips—but most of them are in Italian.

However—I did run across one clip—which is a trailer for a DVD about space alien contact.

I’ve included it here because it leads off with a portion of a translated interview with the Monsignor.

Considering how conservative the Catholic Church hierarchy—and the Pope are about things—you’ve got to wonder why they’ve allowed the Monsignor to go on making his claims for what appears to be years…

If he wasn’t telling the truth—or was saying something contrary to what Catholic Hierarchy believed—-there’s no doubt they would have muzzled Monsignor Balducci a long time ago….

So what’s up with this?

Well, as they used to say in the X-Files—the truth is out there.

The question now is, what ELSE is out there?

For years, UFO conspiracy theorists have claimed the government was withholding information about UFO’s and aliens because the news of it would destroy society—and wreck organized religion….

But today—one of the world’s biggest organized religions is saying, it’s OK to believe in aliens—because they are just more of God’s creatures.

That revelation and more comes from none other than the Vatican’s official astronomer—Father José Gabriel Funes… He was quoted in a lengthy article titled “The Alien Is My Brother ” which was published in the Vatican Daily…

He says flatly that believing in extraterrestrial life is NOT contrary to Catholic doctrine—and, in fact—can bring people closer God.

You can read an extrapolation of the article here— including an analogy that the aliens are just a larger part of God’s flock.

This is a startling revelation.

We can presume that Father Funes isn’t just speaking off the cuff…And since the article was printed in the Vatican’s house organ—it had the tactic approval of the Pope.

For years UFO pictures and videos like these have surfaced—complete with official denials and claims that everything connected with UFO’s is fake, fake, fake.

Now, all of a sudden—we’re being told to accept the fact that extraterrestrials not only are out there—but that they are our “brothers and sisters.”

Some might say we’re being prepared to be told there’s been contact between humans and species more advanced than us—and that those species have been poking around this planet for some time.

Others might try and downplay the article—claiming it’s just a feature piece speculating about life in space.

But you have to remember something about the Vatican.

NOTHING there happens in a vacuum.

Every pronouncement from there is measured, considered, and weighed before it’s disseminated to the general public.

We may have just witnessed a seminal event in mankind’s existence.

It’s subtle—but it’s out there—out there just like the aliens we are now being prodded to believe in.

Rolling into the weekend, let’s cast our eyes skyward for a bit….

LUNAR SEE…

If you missed last night’s lunar eclipse— you’ll have to wait till 2010 to see the next one….

If you don’t have the patience for that—you can watch the whole thing unfold in 20 seconds in this time lapse video—but you may want to turn your volume off because its creator added a little “ZING” at the end…

Perhaps by the next eclipse—you might even own a piece of the moon—so that you can watch the eclipse cover your real estate..

You see, there’s a group of entrepreneurs who are selling Moon plots.

Calling themselves the LUNAR EMBASSY, they’ve been hawking hunks of moonscapes since 1980…

On their website here, they claim they are the only “authorized” seller of lunar real estate in the world.

Since no one owns the moon—who gave’em the “authority” to hand out lunar deeds ?

Perhaps their name offers a hint…

To be an embassy— you have to represent a country—and a peoples…Since there are no countries in space–the only logical conclusion is they represent space people…

You know… little green or grey guys who like to travel around in saucer shaped craft..

The Lunar Embassy is also selling Martian Real Estate..

Which may help us solve one of the more intriguing mysteries of our time.

I figure the the Lunar Embassy folks put it there as a sales gimmick…

BREAKING UP’S NOT SO HARD TO DO …

Remember that spy satellite that we first told you about a few posts ago?

Well, they disposed of it in spectacular fashion..

Now that we know we can do that to a satellite—can we do the same thing to an errant asteroid that’s bent on colliding with earth?

Perhaps some of our readers would like to weigh in on that..
