I Don’t Get It…
Despite my ever increasing age—there are some things I just don’t get.
I guess I’m just condemned to be confused for the rest of my life…
Here’s a few examples:
SUN OF A GLITCH….
I always thought nothing could be a cleaner, more non-polluting form of energy that Solar Power.
But, that’s because I don’t work for the U.S. Government.
Despite the fact that we’ve been living with the sun since humans first appeared on this plant— our federal bureaucrats have slapped a TWO YEAR HOLD on any new solar power projects.
They say they’ve gotta conduct an extensive study looking at the environmental, social and economic impacts of solar energy.
Perhaps they’re afraid the solar panels will develop skin cancer if left out in the sun year after year.
Here’s the impact Mr. bureaucrat.
It doesn’t emit any waste products. It makes no noise. And it’s free.
Apparently–that ain’t good enough for the U.S Government as you can read here.
I just don’t get it !
DON’T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT….
About once every twenty minutes some big Hollywood star is threatening to leave the country if such-and-such happens.
But—despite their much hyped claims–they always seem to forget to do it…
The latest is actor(?) Stephen Baldwin.
He says he’ll move out of the USA if Barack Obama’s elected.
Seems the Baldwin clan is afflicted with move out-itus.
You might recall brother Alex threatened to leave the country if George Bush was elected.
And so did Robert Redford, Barbara Streisand, and Henry Rollins.
Susan Sarandon says she’s out the door if McCain wins.
The problem with all of this is—none of these folks EVER leave, despite their much publicized claims…
How can we miss ‘em —if they won’t go away.
Perhaps if they shut up and stopped spewing so much hot air—they’d be no such thing as man-made global warming!
Why does anybody pay them any attention?
I just don’t get it !
