Eye See, Eye Think…

There’s an old expression which says, “perception is reality..”

So today, we’ll provide the perception—you provide the reality…

6.gif  The 3-D effect in this photo is provided by rapidly shifting multiple images—much like the multiple images used in cartoon animation…The persistence of vision provides the depth of image for the brain…

ALL BOXED IN….

The 3-D effect is also used in this bit of “street magic” by this illusionist. But he doesn’t rely on animation to accomplish this trick…

GETTING AHEAD….

Because we are used to seeing things a certain way—-the brain automatically assumes things are ALWAYS that way….

Despite the fact the image of the face is inverted—the brain “wants” to see it in 3-D…

DRAGON YOUR FEAT….

This illusion works the same way, with regard to your brain “wanting” things to be the way it is used to seeing them…

But, fooling the brain can only go so far, as you’ll see at the end of this video….

Seems your eyes lie….

Like the Eagles said in their classic song, “Honey, you can’t hide your lyin’ eyes..”
