Who Reads This Stuff….

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

About two weeks after I started this blog back in September, a friend of mine e-mailed this photo and offered some advice.

He’d been posting a while—and has a rather successful blog.

He wrote, ” like the photo says, no one cares about your blog. Write it for yourself. And if you’re true to yourself, your audience will find you. The people who want to read you will—and they’ll pass your stuff on to others who think like them.”

Well—we’re 2 and a half months old now—and Jimmy, I gotta tell you—you were right.

You’ve found us.

Quicker—and in greater numbers than I ever would have guessed.

Ten days ago—at the suggestion of another blogger —-I started keeping track of folks who popped in for a visit.

I’m astounded.

We’ve had 640 pageviews since November 5th…

coverage-map21-nov.png…and as the green and black highlighted states on this map show—they’re from all around the country.

But, this is the WORLD-WIDE web—and we’ve had a few peeks from a number of other countries too.

7 countries to be exact.

It’s amazing to me just how far my little voice can reach on this electronic soapbox.

Of the 640 viewers—about half of you are reguarly returning visitors.

As we head into the holiday, I’d like to give my humble thanks to all of you who come to this site to read these rants, ramblings and musings.

And I’d like to remind the hundreds who’ve viewed—this is YOUR soapbox too.

Don’t be afraid to leave a comment.

Talk back.

Together—we’ll all have our say—and somewhere out there—someone WILL be listening.
