Poetic Justice…..

This is the story of Leroy Cladd—who the nice policeman said was bad.
He went out for a walk in this tale—but before it ended—he landed in jail.
Our story takes place in Florida, you see—in a town called Bradenton—about 11:30….
Bradenton says it’s a friendly city—but it has some parts that are nasty and gritty…
Leroy walked in a neighborhood where things weren’t nice—there was prostitution, drugs and all kinds of vice..
So, what did this master criminal do? Did he rob a bank—and kill someone too?
Oh, no say the cops who are angry and squawking—It seems Leroy was just JAYWALKING!
He chose to step off in the middle of the block—a place where the police said, you shouldn’t walk.
The cops said the only way to fix it—was to give Leroy a jaywalking ticket.
The fine made Leroy holler and holler—’cause the ticket was for 15-dollars.
Sign it I won’t—said Leroy Cladd. When he said that, the policeman got mad.
We’ll lock you up in the city jail—and you won’t get out till you pay a big bail.
That wasn’t enough to force Leroy’s hand—-so they took him away in the police transport van.
In jail Leroy stayed for a night and a day—cause the 250 bail—he just couldn’t pay.
So, if a cop charges you with a misdemeanor—you’d better sign the ticket—or you’ll go to the cleaner(s).
